The Eleanor A. Ernest Scholarship


The Eleanor A. Ernest Scholarship is awarded each year to a valedictorian, salutatorian or student with the highest grade point average of a smaller Jackson County high school (148 students or fewer in graduating senior class). The award recognizes exceptional high school achievement in academics, citizenship and extracurricular activity.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Resident of Jackson County, Michigan

  • Valedictorian, salutatorian or student with highest GPA from a smaller Jackson County

        high school (148 students or fewer in graduating senior class). For this year this excludes students from

        Jackson High School, Northwest High School and Western High School

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above 

  • Participation in school activities and/or sports 

  • Good citizenship, leadership and outside activities including work experience

 

Renewable: No


Scholarship Award: up to $1,000

 

Scholarship use: Tuition and fees
