Jackson Legacy Scholarship
The Jackson Legacy Scholarship is an endowment fund from which the Jackson Community Foundation provides scholarships to qualifying Jackson County students who plan to attend Baker College of Jackson, Jackson College, Spring Arbor University, or a trade school in Jackson County. Scholarship awards are dependent on the continuing availability of funds.
ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS: For this scholarship, you must plan on attending or be enrolled full-time or part-time at Baker College of Jackson, Jackson College or Spring Arbor University AND BE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

A graduating high school senior who is a Jackson County resident; or

A graduating high school senior who lives in a different county and has attended a Jackson County school since the 9th grade; or

A graduating Jackson County home-schooled student; or
-
A 12th Grade Jackson County Early College student preparing to enter their 13th year; or
-
A Returning or Completing Jackson County Nontraditional Student with a High School Diploma or GED.

Scholarship Award: Up to $5,000.

Renewable: Previous recipients are encouraged to reapply, however renewal is not guaranteed. Renewable for up to 4+ years with successful completion of community service hours AND Satisfactory Academic Progress as defined as minimum GPA of 2.0 and complete 70% of credit hours.

Scholarship Use: Tuition, fees, books and educational expenses.
Recipient Obligation: All recipients will be required to complete 40 hours of community service. Credit will be given for work experience.
